What We Believe

Baptized in the Name of Jesus

When Peter stood up on the Day of Pentecost and the crowd asked what they needed to do, his answer was specific and unshakeable:

"Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost."
Acts 2:38 →

Every baptism recorded in the book of Acts — every single one — was performed in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. The apostles understood something we want you to understand too: there is power in the name.

01
It's Biblical
The apostles baptized in Jesus' name in Acts 2, 8, 10, 19, and 22. We follow their pattern.
02
By Immersion
Full immersion pictures being buried and raised with Christ — Romans 6:4. Not sprinkled. Fully under the water.
03
For Remission of Sins
"Arise, and be baptized, and wash away thy sins, calling on the name of the Lord" — Acts 22:16.

If you have questions about any of this, we'd love to talk with you. One of our pastors will reach out before the event to pray with you and answer anything on your heart.
